Okey –Martins Nwokolo is a psychologist, a senior associate and founder of Autism Associates of Nigeria. He is also the National Coordinator of the Centre for Autism and Developmental Disabilities (CADD), a budding non-profit organization funded by Autism Associates. CADD’s proposed headquarters is in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. Mr. Nwokolo graduated from the University of Nigeria Nsukka with a 2nd class upper degree in psychology. He holds a masters degree in Psychology from the University of Lagos where he is currently studying towards his doctorate in Developmental Psychology.
Psychologist Okey-Martins has had extensive experience working with individuals with ASD and is an emerging speaker at conferences and seminars. He is a dedicated autism advocate for early diagnosis and treatment.
He had received trainings from Christina Layne and Angela Leonard of the Blue Ridge Autism Center (BRAC) Virginia; Linda Herbert of the Autistic Spectrum Adapted Program (ASAP)Cape Town South Africa; Dr. Helen Nwanze of Aceleration Therapy& the College of Medicine, University of Lagos. He has also volunteered at the prestigious Vera School for Autistic Learners at Rondebosch, South Africa. |
